THE STORY OF OUR COMMITMENT
In April 2016 we have been recognised as a certified B Corporation.
Together with other B Corporations, we are now part of a global movement that aims at promoting a more advanced business pattern: through our business we actively choose to contribute to the resolution of social and environmental problems. Visit our profile on the B Corp website.We voluntarily adopt the highest standards in terms of purpose, accountability and transparency and undergo a formal review that certifies our overall impact.
More than 70,000 companies in the world have measured themselves against the B Impact Assessment, the protocol used to measure business impact and only 2,500 in the world have managed to exceed the B Corp-certified threshold of excellence. This is a result that makes us proud.
A year later, in April 2017, we took a further step forward and we became a Benefit Corporation.
A new company form introduced in Italy in 2016, the only country outside the United States, where companies formally integrate specific objectives for the common benefit as well as the profit target. This new legal instrument creates a solid basis for aligning the mission in the long term and creating shared value.
As a Benefit Corporation, every year we are required to draw up an impact report that sets out the progress in relation to the specific objectives included in the articles of association and shows the targets for the new year.
